1. WHAT ARE COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES?
Cookies are a standard feature of websites that allow us to store small amounts of data on your computer about your visit to the Site. Cookies help us learn which areas of the Site are useful and which areas need improvement. For this purpose, we also use technologies similar to cookies.
What is a Cookie? A Cookie is a small text file that a website, app or other platform stores on your computer, tablet, smartphone or any other similar device, with information about your browsing or use, like a tag that identifies your device. Cookies are necessary, for example, to facilitate browsing and to learn how users interact with platforms, so that they can be improved. They are also very useful for offering advertising according to the user's preferences, as well as for other purposes detailed below.
Cookies do not damage your computer or device. When we speak of "Cookies" we also refer to other similar technologies for installing and/or collecting information on or about your device (such as flash cookies, web beacons or bugs, pixels, HTML5 (local storage)).
Likewise, the term “Cookies” also applies to the use of information-combining techniques that help us identify your device. At times, these technologies work together with cookies to collect and store information, either to provide you with certain features or services on our Platform, or to show you advertising on third-party platforms, taking your browsing into account.
You can choose whether to accept the use of cookies and similar technologies in general by changing your browser settings, or by changing the specific settings for the Site. However, if you disable cookies and similar technologies, your experience of the Site may be affected, and certain features may not work properly.
2. WHICH COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES DO WE USE?
Below we include a list of the different types of cookies and similar technologies used on the Site. To the extent that any information is collected through cookies, our Privacy Notice applies to this CST Policy and supplements it.
Technical cookies. Technical cookies allow you to browse the Site and use its services and features. Without these strictly necessary cookies, the Site will not work as precisely for you as we would like it to, and we may not be able to provide you with certain services or features of the Site.
Preference cookies. Preference cookies collect information about your choices and preferences, and allow us to remember the language or other local settings and to customize the Site accordingly.
Advertising cookies. We may also use advertising cookies on our website. Advertising cookies are set to display on the Site promotions or targeted advertising based on your interests, or to manage our advertising. These cookies collect information about your activities on this Site and on others in order to provide you with targeted advertising.
Analytics or measurement cookies: those that allow the controller ("responsable") of those cookies to track and analyze the behavior of the users of the web pages they are linked to. The information collected through this type of cookie is used to measure the activity of the website and to build browsing profiles of users, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of the usage data of the users of the service.
In short, web analytics provides information on the number of users who access the website, the number of pages viewed, the frequency and repetition of visits, their duration, the browser used, the operator providing the service, the language, the device used, or the city to which your IP address is assigned. This information makes a better and more appropriate service by this website possible.
3. COOKIE SETTINGS
When accessing this website, the user will see a cookie settings panel informing them of how they can give or refuse consent to the installation of a given category of cookies or all of them at once.
If the user clicks the “Accept” button in the Cookie Notice, they will be deemed to have expressly consented to the installation of all categories of cookies. Merely accessing this Policy, without having taken any prior action, does not amount to acceptance of them.
The main aim of our Cookies is to make your browsing experience more comfortable and efficient. For example, they are used to remember your preferences (language, country, etc.) while browsing and on future visits. We also use our Cookies to continuously improve our services and Platform, as well as to be able to offer personalized advertising according to your browsing habits.
The information collected in the Cookies also allows us to improve our Platform through estimates based on statistical data and usage patterns (number of visits, most visited sections, visit time, etc.), to learn statistically how users interact with the Platform in order to improve our services, as well as to adapt the Platform to your individual interests, to speed up searches, etc.
At times, we may use Cookies to obtain information that allows us to display, from our Platform, third-party platforms, or by any other means, advertising based on the analysis of your browsing habits (products viewed, sections consulted, etc.). In any case, in the Cookies we use we never store sensitive information such as passwords, credit or debit card details, etc.
4. HOW CAN I MANAGE THE USE OF COOKIES ON THIS PLATFORM?
In the Cookie settings panel, accessible at all times on our Platform, you can obtain all the information about the Cookies used by this Platform, together with information on the purpose, duration and management (our own or by third parties) of each of them, so that you can enable or disable the use of those Cookies that are not strictly necessary for the operation of the Platform.
When you disable cookies, the affected cookies are deleted from your browser whenever possible and, in any case, when you reject a cookie but it cannot be deleted, we always block it. Therefore, we will never use the cookies you reject and will do everything possible to delete them (bear in mind that certain deletion mechanisms are beyond our control, since they depend on the third party responsible for the cookie).
Alternatively, if you are browsing the internet, you can disable the use of Cookies in your browser, including third-party cookies that you have accepted and later wish to reject.
Here is how to do it in the most popular browsers:
- Google Chrome
- Internet Explorer
- Mozilla Firefox
- Safari
This option to prevent the use of Cookies can be exercised at any time. Please bear in mind that both your management of the Cookie settings panel and your choice to reject Cookies are specific to each browser you are using. Therefore, if you choose to configure Cookies in one way on one device and want your choice to apply similarly to another device, you will need to enable the same option on that other device.
Please note that, if cookies are disabled, not all features of the Site will work properly.
5. WHO USES THE INFORMATION STORED IN THE COOKIES?
The information stored in the Cookies of our Platform is used exclusively by us, except for those identified as “Third-party Cookies”, which are used and managed by external entities to provide us with services aimed at improving our services and the user's experience when browsing our Platform.
This Cookie Policy may be modified in response to new legal requirements or in order to adapt it to the instructions issued under the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties ("Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares", LFPDPPP), which is why users are advised to visit it periodically.
If the user wishes to make any inquiry about the website's Cookie Policy, they may contact the owner of this website at the following address: contacto@devamexico.com
You can find information about the processing of your personal data on our website www.devamexico.com under Privacy Notice.
6. COOKIES AND TECHNOLOGIES WE CURRENTLY USE
This section specifies, for the current state of the Site, the types of cookies described in section 2. We currently do not use advertising or remarketing cookies: the advertising cookies and personalized advertising mentioned in sections 1 to 3 describe categories we might use in the future and which, if incorporated, would be added to this table and to the settings panel before being activated.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Who manages it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Analytics or measurement cookie (Google Analytics 4) | Distinguishes your browser by means of a random identifier in order to count visits, page views and form submissions. It does not contain your name, email or form data. | Up to 24 months from the last visit | Google LLC, as data processor ("encargado") on behalf of DEVA México |
| _ga_* (followed by the identifier of our property) | Analytics or measurement cookie (Google Analytics 4) | Maintains the state of the measurement session: number of sessions and duration of each one. | Up to 24 months from the last visit | Google LLC, as data processor on behalf of DEVA México |
| deva_consent | First-party technical cookie | Remembers your choice about cookies (yes or no, and the date) so as not to show you the notice again. | 12 months | DEVA México |
| deva_attr | First-party local storage (localStorage) | Stores the source of your visit: landing page, referring site, utm campaign parameters and Google Ads click identifier, if any. It is sent only inside a form you choose to submit, so that we know through which channel your request arrived. | 180 days from the last visit | DEVA México |
| deva_cta and deva_pending_lead | First-party session storage (sessionStorage) | Remember the page and button from which you reached a form, and that you have just submitted it, so as to count each request only once. | Until you close the tab or the browser | DEVA México |
Google Analytics cookies are set only when the "Analytics and measurement" category is active: for visitors from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, only after clicking "Accept" or enabling it under "Configure"; for all other visitors, from the first visit and until they reject it. Google Analytics is configured without Google Signals and without ads personalization, so the information is not linked to your Google account and is not used to build advertising profiles. Google LLC processes these data as a processor on behalf of DEVA México; you can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. The Google Analytics script loads on every page; while the category is disabled it does not set cookies or record your browsing in an identifiable way, although the browser may still send Google cookieless signals (address of the page visited, referring site and status of your choice, together with the IP address inherent in every connection) that Google uses only for aggregate counts. The first-party items (deva_consent, deva_attr, deva_cta and deva_pending_lead) are not sent to Google or to any other third party; only when a form is submitted does Google Analytics receive the source channel of the visit (for example, "organico"), and the page and button from which you reached the form, without any personal data.
7. HOW TO CHANGE YOUR CHOICE
- When you enter the Site for the first time, the cookie notice offers you three options of equal prominence: "Accept", "Reject" and "Configure". Under "Configure" you will see the categories "Necessary" (always on) and "Analytics and measurement" (with a switch); click "Save preferences" to apply your choice. Your choice is stored for 12 months in the deva_consent cookie.
- At any time, the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page of the Site reopens the settings panel, where you can enable or disable the "Analytics and measurement" category. Once you disable it, from that moment on no Google Analytics cookies are set and your browsing is not recorded in an identifiable way (the browser may still send the cookieless signals described in section 6); the _ga and _ga_* cookies already set can be deleted from your browser.
- From your browser, you can block or delete the cookies and local storage of devamexico.com by following the instructions in your browser's official help. If you delete the deva_consent cookie, the cookie notice will be shown again on your next visit. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Rejecting or disabling measurement does not affect the operation of the Site or the submission of your requests. Your choice is specific to each browser and device.
