AMR transfer robots: autonomous, intelligent internal transport
Autonomous mobile transfer robots (AMR) automate the internal movement of materials through a decentralized architecture that eliminates the need for a central computer. At DEVA, we implement robots that communicate with each other several times per second, share their position and status, and assign tasks intelligently to optimize your warehouse flow.
What is an AMR and why is it different?
Unlike a fixed-route AGV, an AMR navigates along free paths, adapts easily to changes in its environment and coordinates fleets without a central server thanks to swarm intelligence. This enables a more agile, scalable and reliable intralogistics concept, raising productivity and return on investment.
Omnidirectional AMRs with swarm intelligence
Omnidirectional pallet AMR: Compact and maneuverable for floor-to-floor transport in narrow aisles. Capacity up to 1,000 kg; single/double scissor variants to lift up to 500 mm (single) or 1,000 mm (double); max. speed 1.4 m/s; fast charging (~3 min of charging = 1 hour of operation), designed for 24/7; coordination without a central server.
Free-lift omnidirectional AMR: Moves pallets and special load carriers of up to 800 kg and delivers them to elevated stations up to 1.2 m high, without additional infrastructure. Compatible with Euro pallets; decentralized fleet coordination.
Counterbalanced AMR: Omnidirectional, autonomous forklift. Capacity up to 1,500 kg and max. lift height 1,600 mm (standard version; a low version with a max. lift of 1,200 mm is available). Omnidirectional drive (3 units); fast charging (3 min of charging = 1 h of operation); 1,200 or 1,400 mm forks.
AMR for rolling platforms: Omnidirectional, for dollies. Max. speed 1.4 m/s; minimum aisle 1,000 mm; turning radius 1,700 mm; fast charging (3 min = 1 h), designed for 24/7. Variants for 600×400 mm and 800×600 mm dollies.
AMRs for pallets and floor-to-floor loads
Pallet AMR with lift: Standard lift to deliver the load at a certain height. Load up to 1,300 kg; speed 1.2 m/s (forward)/0.3 m/s (reverse); customizable lift from 750 to 1,000 mm; turning radius Ø 2.6 m.
AMR for carts and trolleys: Floor-to-floor loads for carts and trolleys. Load up to 1,500 kg; speed 1.2 m/s; turning radius Ø 1.85 m; compact dimensions; 37 mm lift.
AMR for elevated stations: Transport and delivery of pallets to elevated stations (production lines, buffers, transfer points). Load up to 1,000 kg at 600 mm from the fork carriage; lift height 1,200 mm; time to lift to maximum height 20 s; compatible with 48×48" (1219×1219 mm) or 800×1200 mm ISO pallets.
- up to 1,500 kg Maximum load capacity
- 1.4 m/s Maximum speed
- 1,600 mm Maximum lift height standard version
- 3 min = 1 h Fast charging: 3 min of charging gives 1 h of operation designed for 24/7
Benefits · Impact on your operation
Less forklift traffic and fewer product touches (greater integrity and safety), free navigation that can be reconfigured without redesigning the infrastructure, 24/7 operation with fast charging, and higher warehouse productivity and ROI.
Ideal applications
Production line feeding, transport between areas, pallet handling in narrow aisles, delivery to elevated stations and operations that need to scale automation in stages.
Frequently asked questions
- What is a transfer AMR?
- It is an autonomous mobile robot that transports material inside the warehouse with free navigation and swarm intelligence, without the need for a central computer or server.
- How much can a DEVA AMR carry?
- Depending on the model, from 800 kg (free-lift model) up to 1,500 kg (counterbalanced model and compact floor-to-floor models).
- Do the AMRs work 24 hours a day?
- Yes. Several models in the range use fast charging (≈3 min of charging = 1 h of operation) designed for 24/7 operation.
